Many experienced fishermen consider the Barwon River at Collarenebri one of the best inland fishing locations in Australia, ideal for trying your hand at fishing for the famous Cod and the much sought after Yellow Belly.
There is much to draw travellers to Collarenebri, there are several gravel pits, where locals and tourists fossick for quartz, topaz, agate and petrified wood. Industries in the area include large scale cotton and wheat farming, sheep and beef cattle breeding.

Collarenebri Hot Springs Bore Baths, located in the centre of town is a must visit when travelling in Northern NSW. Hot spring water is pumped directly from the Artesian Basement. The temperature and minerals have been found to work together, helping your muscles and joints relax and unwind.

The Aboriginal Carved trees, are a must see item of great significance to the Indigenous people of the area.
Annual drawcards to Collarenebri include the Colly Cod Classic & Carp Muster, drawing crowds of enthusiasts vying for the $10000 prize money.

Collarenebri Jockey Club hold their ever-popular race meeting on the second Saturday in September. Now running for over 150 years this great day of racing draws people from near and far.

The Colly Mud Trials attract plenty of roaring V8 engines, mud caked drivers, and enthusiastic spectators. This well attended event ensures a great day of mud racing action.
